In his chidhood studied academic drawing in the same place where Picasso´s: at Escuela de Artes Aplicadas y Oficios Artísticos Antonio Cañete (last floor in the Ateneo´s actual building)
He has been also disciple of the hiper-realist great master Robles Muñoz.
