Ella es una niña \"Promesera\". Pertenece a los Indígenas Mayos de Sinaloa, México. Durante la Semana Santa, en Viernes, ellos utilizan un tocado de flores sobre la cabeza donde hacen una promesa (de ahí \"promeseros\") para recibir un beneficio de Dios. Estos niños y niñas son conocidos como Marías y Josés.... Durante la conmemoración de la muerte de Cristo, cuando trasladan el cuerpo al sepulcro, encienden sus velas y atienden las oraciones cantadas por los mayores.

She is a \"Promesera\" girl. Belongs to the Mayos Indians of Sinaloa, Mexico. During Holy Week, on Friday, they use a headdress of flowers on their head where they make a promise (\"promeseros\") to receive a benefit of God. These children are known as Marias and Josephs .... During the commemoration of Christ\'s death, when moving the body to the tomb, they carry lighted candles and attend the prayers sung by the elders.
