El Ñánkue, mascara de tradición criolla, representa al espíritu del árbol, salen una vez al año (navidades) para celebrar la 1ª cosecha de cacao y en esta ocasión aprovecha para trasmitirle a Europa, (personificación femenina) dos mensajes: Protección para el bosque y que la Paloma de la Paz mundial surgirá de África.

Artist information

Born in Malabo (Equatorial Guinea) on 26 September 1953 and had his first contact with art by Gene Modesto, Catalan sculptor who heads the school's first workshop, drawing, painting and Madel.
