Ascásubi Francisco Javier. Militar y patriota ecuatoriano. Participó en la insurrección quiteña de 1809 y fue miembro de la junta de gobierno presidida por el marqués de Selva Alegre. Derrotado y apresado por los españoles, murió en el combate que se produjo en la cárcel cuando el pueblo quiteño intentaba liberar a los patriotas presos 1810.
