Murmuration is the collective noun for a gathering of starlings and the sound of many thousands of tiny beating wings...I love the word and the phenomena it describes.

Artist information

Painting traditional pictures is a fairly new adventure for me having spent most of my career in the animated film and illustration industry.
My work is reflective of my environment and the flora and fauna that inhabit it. My training is in illustration, quite different from fine art with its emphisis in the craft of drawing and relating of narrative.
