En el nacen unos 30 ríos, que abastecen de agua a varias ciudades del Valle del Cauca.En este tipo término abundan los bosques de nieblas y páramos,con gran diversidad de fauna y flora, creado en el año 1968 en el forman parte los municipios de Cali, Jamundí,Dagua y Buenaventura.
