The oil painting shows two tigers fighting. The scene takes place in a yellowish-golden grass landscape. The background is kept in warm yellow and brown tones, which accentuates the colours of the tigers and creates a sun-drenched atmosphere. The composition conveys movement and tension between the two animals. It could be a playful fight or a serious confrontation. This technique of oil painting on velvet is very rare, as it is elaborate and difficult.
Born 1967 in Zurich, Switzerland, first exhibition 2003, in 2006 I began to paint oil colour on velvet. I like to play with the structure from the velvet. There is a special effect on the painting with velvet.
