Hay 337 especies por todo el mundo y 4 especies que se encuentran el la Rep. Dominicana: el Chlorostilbon Swainsonii, Hispaniolan Emerald Hummingbird y el Zumbador Esmeralda of the Española, es uno de estos.
The colors and flight of this tiny bird is an amazing sight. Hummingbirds are small birds capable of hovering in the air due to the rapid flapping of their wings. They are the only birds that can fly backwards. There are 337 species around the world and 4 species found in the Dominican Republic: the Chlorostilbon Swainsonii, Hispaniolan Emerald Hummingbird and the Emerald Buzzard of the Española, is one of these.
