This oil painting shows the impressive skyline of Abu Dhabi at night. The deep blue night sky creates a calm, almost mystical atmosphere. The coastline with calm water reflecting the city lights creates a gentle transition between water and land. The buildings are painted in shades of blue, purple and orange, reinforcing the impression of a lively, vibrant city. The windows are indicated by small dots of light, giving the picture depth and vibrancy. Additional gold and copper pigments have been worked into the painting to enhance the reflection of the sun! The painting conveys an atmosphere of calm and elegance, coupled with the dynamism of a modern city, capturing the beauty of a skyline at night and inviting the viewer to lose themselves in the scenery.
Born 1967 in Zurich, Switzerland, first exhibition 2003, in 2006 I began to paint oil colour on velvet. I like to play with the structure from the velvet. There is a special effect on the painting with velvet.
