VER COLECCIONES DEL AUTOR: La tres veces centenarea Iglesia de San Ignacio de Loyola, comenzó a edificarse en 1712 bajo planos del jesuita Juan Krauss, època de la que datan su torre izquierda y su pared frontal se constituye en la edificación más antigua de Buenos Ayres que aún persiste al paso del tiempo.
Los primeros hornos de ladrillos de Buenos Ayres fueron destinados a esta obra.
Como siempre la iglesia catolica participativa en la vida politica de los pueblos durante las invasiones inglesas antes de la gesta emancipadora argentina esta iglesia sirvio de bastión de la resistencia.
