El cerro EL ÁVILA, es la monumental montaña que rodea por el norte a la ciudad de Caracas, capital de Venezuela. Con una altura máxima de 2750 metros sobre el nivel del mar, es parte de un extenso parque nacional con una superficie de ochenta y seis mil ciento noventa y dos hectáreas, constituye el pulmón vegetal de la ciudad. Por su particular belleza ha inspirado a muchos pintores, siendo el más renombrado Manuel Cabré, (1890-1984) también conocido como \"el pintor de El Ávila\"
