La lucha libre es uno de los deportes espectaculares y muy populares en México, las llaves aplicadas a ras de lona y aéreas son parte de lo que la caracteriza. El Santo, Blue Demon, el Mil Máscaras son algunos de los más famosos personajes.
Lizmark o el geniecillo azul, fue un luchador acapulqueño del que disfrutaba ver en el ring, cuando era niño, por tener una técnica muy espectacular.
Como artista me interesa representar la parte popular de la cultura mexicana contemporánea.

Artist information

Juan Jose Mendoza was born on March 21, 1968 in Mexico City, studied a degree in Fine Arts at the National School of Plastic Arts of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) , is Professor of Painting , Drawing and Printmaking at the National High School of UNAM since 1995.
Currently pursuing a Master of Painting at the Academy of San Carlos de la UNAM and at the same time continuing his work as an artist.
