Artist information

Born in Havana, Cuba. He moved to the United States in 1959 and lived first in San Antonio, Texas, and later in Miami, Florida. Works as an architect until 1970, anno in receiving a 2nd Cintas Foundation Fellowship in New York. Decided to leave the architecture and devote all his time to painting. In 1974 he moved to Barcelona, Spain, where he lived for 18 annos. There he meets Antonio Tapies, Joan Miro, Alexander Calder, and other important artists such as Rufino Tamayo, who works stamping...
