TECNICA: ESPATULA OLEO SOBRE LIENZO. Esta iglesia se levantó en honor a la Virgen María protectora de la ciudad después de las erupciones volcánicas del Pichincha que amenazaba con destruirla a mediados del siglo XVII. Al interior de Convento se admira el claustro principal.
