"Sweet potato with an open heart", it is the new series of paintings and etchings. The sweet potato with open heart and with baby it is a metaphor of De Madona with Jesus of middle age, and also a metaphor of the Pacha Mama and Latin America. It is a syncretic alchemical construction. The potato represents the divinity of nature.
The potato and the sweet potato are everyday elements, part of our culture, but I want to use the sweet potato in an allegorical way to create a mystical connection in my artworks.
