This is named after the Garth Brooks' song. It is appropriate as I was standing outside and watching the fiery sunrise. I was standing on the front lawn looking east. Rather than sit by and let life happen, it is preferable to live life to the fullest and that includes enjoying a simple but spectacular sunrise.
The subtle contrail of the jet looks like it passed eastbound way above Pearson without making a stop. The cloud is the first taste of the remains of Hurricane Ernesto - Ernie for short. The cirrus cloud is stretching under the strong deformation and the sun is setting it on fire. Overcast skies and heavy rain are on the way! There is indeed a "X" that marks the spot where an old contrail crosses the new eastbound contrail. It was intentional. I firmly believe that in meteorology, the important thing to analyze is the real atmosphere. New meteorologists "analyze" the computer guidance which is wrong just when you need it the most. The real atmosphere is never wrong.
