Artwork description

This piece is made by hand out of common iron wire. It\'s a lifesize corset of a Torera jacket inspired by my daughter Carla\'s luxury corset collection. We are collaborating in her project of wearable art where she designs and produces in textile and I in metal. This particular piece was presented at the Art Basel Miami Beach fair, December 2015, and was shown by a model, dressed with the metal torera on the runway.

Esta pieza esta hecha a mano de alambre comun de hierro. Es un corset a tamaño natural de una torera inspirado en la coleccion de corsets de alta costura de mi hija, Carla. Estamos colaborando en su proyecto de \"Arte Ponible\" donde ella diseña y fabrica en textil y yo en metal. Esta obra en particular fue presentada en la Feria de Art Basel en Miami Beach, Florida en Diciembre del 2015, y fue expuesta por una modelo, vestida con la torera de metal en la pasarela.

Fernando Cid de Diego: Born December 24, 1942 in Valencia Spain, of a Castillian family.

*While studying naval engineering, he taught himself to sculpt, which has been his calling since childhood, and which consumed him such that he gave himself to it completely.
