Indian purity of colour reflects in my painting of portrayals of the life of women.The bride dressing herself for the union with her lover and eager with expectation of love\'s pleasure.Her beauty is enhanced by the grace of the costume ,ornaments.This painting is vibrant with colour drawn from the tradition of Hindu love goddess, waiting for her husband.

Artist information

Suparna Dey was born in 1981 in Kolkata. Passed B.V.A. form Rabindra Bharati University in 2006. The imagery in Suparna\'s work has a dreamlike and lyrical quality with a unique sensitivity.
She has been participated in many important group shows in India & abroad .Her works can be found in many private collections. She is working as a teacher in India where she lives & works.
