Artwork description

Un simbolismo acerca de la unión de mujeres de diversas etnias, como principio de la tolerancia ante el rascismo. Se puede decir que, aunque fue pintada con óleo y espátula sobre tela, fue el primer mural de Montuy, pintado en 1962 y posteriormente donado por sus antiguos propietarios a la actual Casa de Cultura en Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, México. Las decoloraciones son propias del paso del tiempo, su ubicación en un salón con veentanas hacia la playa y que Montuy aún no inventaba su propia técnica, inigualable para el muralismo.

Montuy born in Frontera, Tabasco, Mexico on October 25, 1925. From childhood he showed great interest in reading and drawing, but ran into opposition from his father, a businessman macuspanense soap, so decided to autograph his early works such as Leon Montuy and then only with your mother's maiden name, Montuy.
