Original charcoal drawing on fine watercolor paper, 21.6 / 18 inches or 55/ 46 sm.

The drawing of a Bird\'s Nest with Eggs is part of a charcoal triptych - Pigeon, Nest with Eggs, Newly born bird.
My aim was to depict the texture of the bird and the nest, and to have three neat, clear spaced artworks with few elements at the end.
The pictures suppose the theme of birth, motherhood and warmth.
Fixed with Charcoal fixative.

Venelina Petkova
Born 1979 in Varna, Bulgarian coastal city.

In general I am a self-studied person, but I visited and I still go on visiting an art course with a professional art tutor.

I like graphic materials, as charcoal. I also use soft pastels, watercolors.

I have also studied Contemporary Arts in Sofia University, Bulgaria. This is a master program with emphasis on contemporary art history and philosophy.
