Balantas são uma etnia maioritária em Guiné-Bissau, representam uma
rica cultura. Este quadro mostra os momentos preparativos dum
casamento. Onde que a nova é levado debaixo uma árvore grande da
Guiné “Poilan” acompanhada com as idosas ”elas que relatam a nova como
que uma mulher deve obedecer o marido e neste árvore a nova é
pelada e adornada de pedras preciosas e castigos”, cabaz e aguardente
são coisas relevantes.
