Las "artesas" de la imagen, recipientes en los cuales las mujeres de los mineros lavaban la ropa, a finales del siglo 19 y comienzos del siglo 20, las encontré abandonadas en Santa Laura. Son un mudo testimonio de un momento histórico de gran injusticia para sus mineros y familias de las Salitreras del Norte de Chile
