Born in Havana, Cuba. He moved to the United States in 1959 and lived first in San Antonio, Texas, and later in Miami, Florida. Works as an architect until 1970, anno in receiving a 2nd Cintas Foundation Fellowship in New York. Decided to leave the architecture and devote all his time to painting.
