Los visigodos fueron la rama occidental de los pueblos godos. Después de la caída del Imperio romano occidental, los visigodos tuvieron un papel importante en Europa durante los 250 años que siguieron.
La fíbula aquiliforme (estilización del águila) es un broche o imperdible de oro, utilizado para unir la vestimenta, obra de los orfebres de la Hispania visigoda, (asentamiento del pueblo visigodo en la Península Ibérica, entre finales del siglo V al VIII).
