Artwork description

This work was a case of passion at first glance. I was reading the latest poem of one my favorite brazilian contemporary writers, Sergio Cerante Ornellas and the image just came out to my mind, so I rushed to paint it before it fainted. It is a huge responsibility to translate a poem to a foreign language, so I will publish the original here. All I can say is that it is very sonorous, sensual, singing bodies that mix to each other blending an ever-lasting - although ephemerous! - love. "Meio-tom da quase noite" by Sérgio Cerante Ornellas "pensa como seria triste dois corpos disponíveis num fim de tarde no meio-tom da tarde dois corpos meio-tom à meia luz do fim de tarde dois corpos misturados ao meio-tom da quase noite dois corpos apaixonados no fim de alguma tarde tentando não morrer e já não ser possível"

Artist information

I am a designer, fine artist and I currently research the relations between art, sexuality and corporal expression. My works reflect my concern in helping fight any kind of social discrimination, especially sexual prejudices.

I believe that art is able to sensitize people's hearts for the futility of all forms of social discrimination. For that reason, I am dedicated particularly to produce and expose the best available representations of corporality and human sexuality.
