Reflejo de los nuevos elementos que plagan los pueblos de Chiloé, en la superficie de la ventana de una de las últimas casa tradicionales en la ciudad de Chonchi, muy derruida por el paso de los años y la falta de interés en rescatar estos patrimonios arquitectónicos Conflicto estético y social entre cultura tradicional y los violentos y avasalladores procesos de aculturación y modernidad que ha sufrido Chiloé, patagonia insular de Chile, en las últimas dos décadas.
¿Quedarán solo reflejos de culturas tan únicas, particulares e irrepetibles como resultado de estos cambios? Es la pregunta que se plantea el artista.

Artist information

Mauro was born in Santiago de Chile on July 14, 1966. Has 20 years experience as a painter, studying, researching and teach the trade. Has developed extensive experience in graphic design, which has enriched the design, creation and mantencin of web pages, as webmaster. Also, in the field of theater, film and television, it has played in the creation of set designers, and fictitious corpreos as artistic director.
