This oil painting presents the Cat's Eye Nebula with its spiral shape on a textured canvas. The composition is dominated by gentle, curved lines that condense into a central swirling movement. The colour palette is predominantly cool shades of grey and blue, interspersed with subtle accents of white, beige and a hint of pink. These colour nuances blend into one another and create a misty, almost ethereal atmosphere. In the centre of the vortex, the impression of movement and depth is created, as if you were looking into a misty abyss. The outer edges of the spiral structure gently dissolve into the background, reinforcing the impression of lightness and weightlessness. This work invites the viewer to immerse themselves in its swirling depths and find their own interpretations.
Born 1967 in Zurich, Switzerland, first exhibition 2003, in 2006 I began to paint oil colour on velvet. I like to play with the structure from the velvet. There is a special effect on the painting with velvet.
