The inspiration about the CLOWN SERIES comes to me from childhood memories, I am very interested in this character, it transmits security, tranquility, freedom. The process of the work focuses on makeup and its colorful outfit, which is what characterizes it.
In my work I capture the interpretation of his face without identity, those multiple stagings, sometimes funny or sad, of faces, gestures, pampering, feelings that transport us to our childhood.
I try to work on the figure that mystery that surrounds it, the silence, the smile, the sadness and it leads me to the imagination to use the collage with different recycled materials that give volume to the work.
The PAYASO SERIES is made with the application of a mixed acrylic and col·lage technique on a fabric or wood base.
My first experience was in primary school, I remember in the drawing subject where we drew the sheets in black and white with coal mines, it was from there that I started drawing on the living room table, it was my study. One of my messages is the characteristic of not defining the identity of my characters, I only work on the characteristic, then the viewer can imagine.
