Madre indígena guatemalteca, de San Juan Cotzal, Quiché, pertenece al triángulo "Ixil", que constituyen las poblaciones arrazadas por el conflicto armado interno en nuestro país. Madres sufridas, que cargan a sus hijos "a tuto", es decir, envueltos en perrajes típicos, amarrados sobre uno de sus hombros, cargándo a su hijo en su espalda, cumpliéndo así su trabajo durante todo el día.

Having been born to peasant parents, seven years he traveled to live Moyuta municipality in the department of Jutiapa.
