Una vieja leyenda maya dice que el pez es el simbolo del hombre que gusta de vivir en lo amorfo, el ahtlaca, el subhumano que gusta de degradar a la civilización. Pero el Jaguar, guardian de la Madre Tierra, se mete a la amorfidad, destruye al pez y restaura el orden nuevamente.
