Desde muy joven he tenido gran aprecio y admiración por nuestros agricultores, los cuales empiezan sus duras tareas antes de que salga el sol y terminan al caer el sol. Por lo que quise representar en este cuadro el trabajo de esos productores de Cartago, mis amigos conocidos como los “Tapilla.”
I was born on September 18, 1964, in the province of Alajuela, Costa Rica. Throughout my youth I never gave any sign that I liked the painting, I did my studies at the University of Costa Rica where I graduated in agronomy with an emphasis on Plant Breeding.
