I knew the art of pyrography by chance. When I was a college student, a friend pyrography, and I tried. Without engaging in it more than occasionally, I was slowly learning from my mistakes, without teachers or books, inspired by people who saw my pictures. The skill and safety has been arriving slowly, like a slow harvest. Each new work is also a new experience, new learning in a process that never ends: to be getting better.
