Artwork description

And suddenly everything got quiet…
For many years I have been trying to offer with my paintings what many people long for, visual places where time seems to slow down. I call it Slow Art, the art of deceleration. And suddenly everything fell silent - and I fell silent too. Has my wish been heard? Was that what I've been trying to achieve for so long?
This big size painting was created during the entire period of the lockdown that we had here in Spain. Every day, every emotion is reflected in it. In every single layer that I put on this painting, there are moments of incertitude and discomfort, but also a lot of confidence, joy and inner satisfaction, until it finally exudes this endless silence, calmness and serenity that impressed me the most in these exceptional times. The nature got time to release, to breath and to recover like never before.

Luckily I live next to the sea on this beautiful Island and because I have a dog I was allowed to do daily short walks on the seashore that gave me the inspiration to create this artwork. To show the beauty in this incredible, extraordinary situation. Hope you enjoy its silence as well.
