Pure Happiness hace referencia al evento del gol. Diseñé una aplicación Flash que monitoriza una web de resultados de fútbol a tiempo real. Cada vez que se marca un gol en cualquier parte del mundo se proyecta en la pared de la sala este rótulo luminoso, acompañado de un avisador acústico insistente. La idea era perturbar la experiencia estética del visitante y atraer su atención hacia este reclamo.

Pure Happiness refers to the event of goal. I created a Flash application that monitors a website of soccer live scores. Every time a goal is scored worldwide, this light sign is projected over the empty room wall, together with an insistent accoustic beep. The aim was to disturb the visitors' aesthetic experience and catch their attention towards this call.

Artist information

Javier Giron was born in Barcelona in 1977. His early art training came by Ibiza-born painter Neus Ramon. His training is completed in Cercle Artístic de Sant Lluc (Barcelona), Escola Massana (Barcelona), Central Saint Martin's College of Art and Design (London) and University of Barcelona, where attending a degree on Fine Arts.

His recent pictoric work develops a symbolist language and shows enigmatic and surrealistic spaces with human figure and space paradox as key points. Doors,...
