Isabel Flórez Bielsa was born in San Sebastian (Spain). She began drawing at the age of 10, in the Arts and Culture Delegation in Tetuan (Morocco), being awarded with the First Prize in Drawing at 12, in the junior category.

She began drawing at the age of 10, in the Arts and Culture Delegation in Tetuan (Morocco), being awarded with the First Prize in Drawing at 12, in the junior category. She continued studying the drawing technique in the Arts and Crafts School of San Sebastian. After deepening in drawing techniques, in which she got different awards, she started oil painting, getting to know the secrets of the oil technique. In Madrid, she joined and attended painting and drawing classes in Santiago de Santiago´s Studio, a renowned Spanish sculptor, with well-known painters like Martin Villa, Cid Rodrigo..... In 1985, she got a First Prize in the “Spanish Institute of Industry Cultural Foundation” Competition, in Drawing category. Having painting as a hobby, she exhibit in different show-rooms, sponsored by Painter and Sculptor Associations, which she belongs to, and other free show- rooms, hold in different Organisms such as Cultural Foundations, Institutes, Ministers, and so on. She has also great experience in other painting techniques, as water- colour, pastel painting , mural painting, outdoor painting, and overall, portrait, one of the techniques in which she has received more requests along the years and she is more interested in.
