Lucas Cranach the Younger was the son and the disciple of Lucas Cranach the Elder. He continued with the paternal tradition in such a way that there have been difficulties in the attribution of their works. However, in the artworks by Cranach the Younger cannot be found the Germanic characters, which were his father’s artworks’ characteristic and strength. Artworks by Cranach the Younger are in the museums of Berlin, Cassel, Leipzig, Stockholm, Vienna, Weimar and Heidelberg.
His most outstanding artworks are Portrait of a Man, Portrait of a Lady, Fountain of Youth and Portrait of Lucas Cranach the Elder.
